It's All About You!

Hi there! I don't know what it's like where you live but it's absolutely freezing here at the moment! Brrrrr.

Have you seen the new Mini Challenge at More Than Words yet? The challenge is to use the word "You" on a card, tag, ATC or postcard.

I made a simple birthday card.

I think this challenge is a great excuse to get some birthday cards made. YOU can enter as many times as YOU like!

You can find the challenge here. Be quick - you only have a week to enter!

Happy scrappin'!

Back at Kraft +

Hello again. I'm thrilled to be back designing for Kraft +. The ladies there are such a wonderful bunch and the challenges are cool!

Here's what I made for the June challenge.

And here is the challenge board:

The challenge is to "add patterns" to your project. I took inspiration from the patterns on the board as well as the colours. I rummaged through my paper stash until I found similar patterns. I found these colours quite challenging as they're not my 'go to' colours at all, however challenges are what make us grow! I also took inspiration from the grid-like design of the board.

I layered up paper squares and topped them with chipboard leaves tied on with string and backed with circles of cotton.

I stitched around every piece of paper on the layout and added a few embellies.

You can create any sort of project for this challenge. You can find more details HERE. I sure hope you can join us!

Happy scrappin'!

Scraplift Yourself at More Than Words

Hello there. I love this month's challenge at More Than Words. The challenge is to be inspired by the word "Favourite" and to scraplift yourself! How cool is that?

I took a "Favourite" photo of my daughter and created this:

And here's the layout of mine that I scraplifted.

I flipped the design to suit my photo and I jazzed the new layout up a bit, particularly around the edges. I also used patterned paper in the new layout whereas I used my own handpainted paper in the original. I think the vibrancy of the patterned papers matches the joy in the photo.

I raided my drawer of leftover bits and bobs. I'm determined to use these lovely pieces up!

I washed a top of mine the other day and the aqua-coloured tassles fell off the end of the ties on it. I thought they'd be perfect on a layout. I love how this one turned out - lol!

Some brighter papers added punch to the dark photo.

There are some amazing prizes availble to the winners of this month's More Than Words challenge. I hope you can give it a go! You can find the challenge HERE.

Happy scrappin'!
