Oh my - have you seen the new challenge over at
More Than Words? The challenge is to be inspired by the word "Special" and to use at least one item from the quote "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue". Now this might make you think of weddings but if you're like me and don't have a recent wedding to scrap, think outside the square! I used a photo of my daughter with her Special blue hair and used all four elements of the quote in my work.
I think my daughter has tried just about every hair colour now. She's a very determined and individual young lady.
Here's the challenge board:
You only have to use one part of the quote in your challenge but I used all four: the title is made with old alphas, the blue is from my brand new set of
Tinby Designs Colour Crush, I borrowed the quote from the internet (ok - that one's a bit of a stretch!) and well, there's no doubt I used blue!
I had fun making that background with stencilling on book paper and lots of Colour Crush.
I even coloured my flowers with Colour Crush so they matched my page perfectly. I left all the chippie untreated - I liked the way it worked with the blue.
I sure hope you can join in the challenge this month. You can find it
here.
Happy scrappin'!
Heather

Your daughter is very beautiful and I love her hair. What an awesome page Heather. Huge wow factor. XXX
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Love the chippy 'ribbon' & of course, those heart buttons.....really like the construction across the page & the best bit, to me, is the use of the stenciling over the print. That looks REALLY 'individual'....bit like your girl, I'd say!!!
