More Than Words ATC in June

Hello again! It's time for the new Mini Challenge over at More Than Words!

Here's the ATC I made for it:

The criteria for the new Mini Challenge is to use the word ART on a card, tag or ATC. I had so much fun with this one! I figured this was totally about my art so I felt I could just create whatever I like. This is my little card of fun!

I sure hope you can join us over at More Than Words. You only have one week to enter so be quick!

Happy scrappin'!

Dusty ATC's

Hello and welcome back. I'm here today to share a layout I made using Artist Trading Cards. ATC's are great fun to use in all sorts of ways. Of course, I used many gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies on these and I love the effect.

I used the same grungy background across all the cards then used an eclectic mix of chippies on the individual cards. I coated some of the chippies with Tinby Designs Metallic Melts for a cool, antique effect.

I taught this layout as a class at the PaperArts expo in Melbourne a few months ago. It was a fun class with fabulous ladies in it!

Dusty in June

Hello! I have something different to share today. I made a special card using gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies, flowers, paints and a stencil.

I made this card for the fabulous women at my local Fernwood gym who helped me lose weight and get fitter.

There are two parts to this card. The basis for the front is simply gesso applied through a stunning Dusty Attic Fan stencil onto some Webster's Pages paper. I coated the Dusty Attic alphas with Tinby Designs Metallic Melts for some extra wow factor.

When the card is opened there is another feature inside....

I made the 'envelope' out of paper then filled it with Dusty Attic flowers plus chipboard flowers and leaves. The chippies were mostly painted with Dusty Attic paints. By putting the flowers inside the card I felt it was like giving a gift of flowers as well as a card.

My inspiration for the front of the card came from the stunning mood board at Dusty Attic this month. I used the beachy limewashed boards look and picked up on the neutrals and blues.

Are you going to join in the challenge this month? You could win a $100 Dusty Attic gift voucher!

More Than Words in June

Hello and welcome back to my blog. It's soooo cold and wintery here at the moment. I hope it's warmer wherever you are!

Luckily, it's great scrapping weather and I've been busy making a layout for the new challenge at More Than Words. Here's what I made:

The word challenge is to be inspired by the word "Imagine" and the creative challenge is to "Get Messy". I used a travel photo of my daughter to think about the amazing places she might visit in her lifetime. The Get Messy part was easy! I'm good at that - lol!

The background is made with splotched Dusty Attic paints, stamping and watercolours. I like making messes! I painted the Dusty Attic chippie alphas with black Dusty Attic paint then added Tinby Designs Metallic Melts on top for that cool textured finish.

Are you going to give the challenge a go this month? There are some awesome prizes up for grabs. You can find the challenge HERE.

Happy scrappin'!
