Exciting News!

Ohhhhh I have some exciting news! I'll be teaching at the Scrapbooking Expo at Brisbane in June! It's been a bit of a goal of mine to teach there as it's the largest scrap expo in the country so I'm thrilled. Bookings are all done online here. Full class information will be available online from Monday April 14 and class bookings will go live on Wednesday April 16 at 10am Eastern Standard Time.

Meanwhile, I have some work to show you. These were published in Scrapbooking Memories magazine, Vol 16, No 7.

I had a lot of fun experimenting with this page. I had just bought a set of Gelatos and wasn't really sure what I could or couldn't do with them so I just played. I used texture paste through the gorgeous Crafters Workshop stencil. When it was dry I simply rubbed on the Gelatos. I now know a bit more and would do a neater job next time but it wasn't bad for my first effort I thought.

Oh that girl can be cheeky when she chooses!

My favourite Kaisercraft stamp also makes an appearance and I've added just a few fussy cut pieces from American Crafts' Amy Tangerine Sketchbook range, an oldie but such a goodie.

My second piece is something a little different. When I was on the Manor House Creations design team last year I helped out on the stand at the Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo and we all wore flapper headbands. I knew what I would be wearing so I coloured a flower to match my outfit. I then cut off those ribbons that they have inside clothes to hang them by and used them on my headband so it coordinated perfectly with my outfit!

Thanks for looking. If you are coming to the expo at Brisbane, be sure to say hi!

Happy scrappin'!

Heather
