Postcard Wishes

Welcome back to my blog!

It's time for the Mini Challenge over at More Than Words. We've made a change to our Mini Challenge this year - you can still make cards, tags and ATC's but you can also make postcards! Postcards are usually around an A6 size, which is a quarter of an A4. The challenge with making your own is to keep them flat and secure enough so they don't get damaged in the mail. Of course, you can always pop them into an envelope.

The challenge this month is to be use the word 'Wish' on your project. I made a postcard:

I kept my embellishments flat and sprayed a coat of sealer on the finished postcard to protect it even more.

The back of the postcard is ready to write on:

Are you going to try something different and make a postcard for our challenge? Be quick - the challenge only goes for a week! You can find more details here.

Happy scrappin!

Getting My Prosecco On!

Hello there!

I'm excited to share my first DT layout for Kraft +! This is such a fabulous challenge site - the ladies here are wonderful!

The January challenge is to be influenced by coffee. I don't drink coffee so I decided to scrap about what I do drink! Here's my layout:

Yep - I'm a prosecco kind of girl - lol!

I used papers from a range of brands and added bits and pieces from my drawer of scraps. I love how the colour scheme pulled all these bits and pieces together.

I hope you can give the challenge a go this month. You can find it here.

Happy scrappin'!

Celebrating at More Than Words

Happy New Year! What an interesting, outrageously fun and sometimes very challenging year it has been for me. I hope 2017 was good to you and that 2018 will exceed your expectations.

Over at More Than Words, we're celebrating our birthday - yes, we're two years old! I'm so thrilled that after 24 challenges, we're still going strong! To celebrate, we thought we'd share the birthday fun with you and make 'Birthday' our word to be influenced by and we want to see at least two tags on your layout, canvas or art journal page.

I went the whole hog and created a double page layout about my last birthday celebrations.

I wanted to tell the whole story of the different bars we went to and the great night we had so there's a lot of journalling on this page.

I placed each photo in its own paper and embellishment cluster and added a co-ordinating tag to each one. My page has four tags.

I added the journalling onto panels under each photo and stenciled each panel in different colours.

Are you going to take up the birthday challenge at More Than Words? You can find all the details here.
