Much to my surprise, I've had more scrapping time than usual lately so I decided to give the challenge at Kraft+ a go. I can't believe I've never entered this fabulous Aussie-based challenge before. It's open to anyone though, not just Aussies.
I've been playing with my Colour Crush powders again. I simply love them! Here's what I made:
The challenge was to be inspired by anything to do with "Home". I thought about it and decided to scrap about how thrilled my hubby and I are that the kids still love regularly coming home to see us, even though they both live in Melbourne. We took this selfie last week in an attempt to get a decent Christmas photo. This was the best of the bad bunch!
I used a brick stamp on the background to symbolise the solidness of home. I've been on a mission lately to use things from my scraps drawer - that's the drawer where I put all those little bits and pieces that I made for previous projects but didn't use. I did a bit of fussy-cutting from some papers I found in there.
All the pink, red and yellow pieces are created with Colour Crush powders. I adore this look! I'm also having a bit of a book paper fetish lately too so I had to add some of that in.
Are you going to join in at Kraft+ this month? Here's the mood board:
Happy scrappin'!

ReplyDeleteA gorgeous page full of light and happiness. Those young ones know when they are on a good wicket! Home to the fresh air, great cooking and lots of love. You can't take the country out of the kids! Love the "naive" style which looks kinda random and funky and can be hard to achieve. You make it look effortless. Rambling now...best get off to bed. Happy Christmas.
